Zoo Day

I definetly have pregnancy brain now, I forgot to blog about the day we went to the zoo with my mom, so now I'm finally blogging about it. lol.

On Tuesday, June 22nd I decided we'd go to the zoo, and this time, my mom came along. I think the last time she has been at the zoo was over 10 years ago. Can you believe that? 10 years... wow. We got at least 2-3 times a year. So, I bought the annual family pass again.

Brayden of course is starting to think he's getting to old to go to the zoo, but after much coaxing, and telling him he needs to do this with the family or he can't go on "other" family vacations, he came.

After 3 different pictures, I finally was able to get one of Brayden smiling with me.

Did you know that there is a baby elephant named Zuri at the zoo. She is so cute and is almost 1 year old now. Chloe loved watching her. She kept calling her Ellie the Elephant from that song, "Ellie Elephant packed her truck and headed off to the circus..." - you know the one.

Even the chimps were active. Well, at least one of them was. She kept playing on all the "vines" and jumping all over the place. She was a lot of fun to watch.

Later we headed to the Gorillas. Chloe loved them. But she really loved the male Chimp. He had bags or sacks all over the ground and Chloe kept getting mad at him saying he needed to go do his laundry and kept asking where his washing machine was. It was too funny. She didn't want to leave from watching him. I finally had to pick her up to bring her out, tears and all. But I promised we'd come again with dad, so that made it all better.

While Madison was out playing in the playground, I took a quick picture of my mom with Chloe & Brayden. Isn't she cute. :)

And as always, before we leave the zoo, we always take a ride on the train. Brayden took this picture of us. Pretty good don't you think.

Overall, minus Brayden and Madison fighting, the zoo was a lot of fun. We'll definetly go back at least one more time before Sadie arrives, and then of course we'll go with her. If you want to come too, let me know!
