This is super yummy salsa recipe, and the kiddos can help make it too. It has a lemony limey taste to it with a little kick at the end. I have no other clue how to describe how good this salsa taste!
These are the ingredients needed to make it:
2 cloves of garlic (I use minced garlic in a jar. 1/2 tsp of it = 1 clove of garlic)
1ea 28oz diced tomatoes in sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1ea 7oz mild green chili's
1/4 cup yellow onion chopped (About 1/4 of a large onion. I chop it up in my chopper)
1/4 cup green pepper chopped (About 1/2 of a large pepper. I chop it up in my chopper too)
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
4 Tbs. fresh chopped cilantro - use the stem and leaves
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup lime juice
You can salt and/or pepper it to taste, but we buy salted yellow corn chips so we don't add salt to our salsa.
Let me know if you make it, and let me know if you like it. We LOVE it!
