Busy, busy, busy

About twice a year, I'm REALLY busy doing PTA stuff. Besides that, there is about an hour to two hours dedicated to PTA stuff.

In October it is Red Ribbon Week. I have small candy's that go out every day with a little drug and violence free message. I do door decorating contests where the winner gets an ice cream party. I also have an assembly scheduled.

Well, now it's April, and I've been busy with Bike Safety and the Bike Rodeo. I've never done this before or even seen it done. This year is our 1st Annual Bike Rodeo. Monday the kids will have an assembly about bike safety and road rules. Then on Saturday before Spring Break I've planned what is called a Bike Rodeo.

Park Sportsman will donate their time to do a 4 station bike safety check. We also will have a station to get your helmets fitted properly. Also, any student who goes through the 4 stations will get entered into a drawing to win a bike helmet. I was also able to extend my budget to get 15 new bike helmets for the drawing... how exciting!

So, next week I'll finish up for the Saturday Bike Rodeo, yes. Hope everything goes accordingly. So far, for just this month, I've done 14 hours of Bike Rodeo and Safety stuff. Add that on top of being a mommy... I've been BUSY!

Can't wait until it's over, and I can't wait to post pictures.
