We haven't had an oven that has worked for about a week, so after getting a new one on Saturday, Sunday after church the girls were dying to make a batch of cookies.
I found a really simple Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe (even though we don't need a Gluten free diet), perfect for the girls to make all on their own. Minus the help from mom to bake them.
The girls are always wanting to help me cook in the kitchen, and as much as I love them helping, I really need to find more kid friendly recipes so they can do it on their own. If you have any to share, please let me know!!
Here's the recipe for those interested.
Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies
Makes 12-15 large cookies
1 C. peanut butter
1 C. sugar
1 large egg (use egg substitute if you want to go egg-free)
1 tsp. pure vanilla
Mix these four ingredients very briefly, just to combine. Don't overmix - this is the key to the cookie's texture.
Add 1/3 C. to 1/2 C. of whatever chocolate you like; dark, semi-sweet, milk chocolate, etc.
Scoop very full spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for exactly 15 minutes.

Yummy! Chloe is looking so grown up! You have such cute girls! Can't wait for girl #3 to arrive!
Wow that is a kid friendly/easy/few ingredient/totally doable recipe! lol The only suggestion I have for the kid friendly recipes would be to look on Amazon for some cookbooks. Or see if there are any cooking with kids blogs.
