I knew our time was coming, Devin and I have been teaching the 12 and 13 year old Sunday School class for almost 5 years, yes, that's right, 5 years!! Every week when we saw our Bishopric, they would smile and ask how the class was, if we were still in there, what kids we had, all that fun stuff. We knew it was coming. There were times they would say that they haven't forgotten about us Parkers. rofl.
Well, last Sunday we had to get our temple recommends taken care of, so when we made an appointment, the clerk said that it was good we did, because they also wanted to talk to us. Obvious there it was coming right.
We came over to the meeting place after classes and they told us how much they appreciated us teaching the same class for so long, that they decided it was time to change it up for us. So, they released us of that, and gave us each separate and new callings.
I hate to admit, I'm not thrilled for this calling, I am sure it has it's meaning and in time I will realize and learn what that is, but as right now, so not thrilled, not looking forward to it, not sure I care to do it... ug! And Devin's, seriously, rofl, it's just to funny.
Can we guess what we're doing now? Go ahead, take a minute, ponder, what could those Parkers do this time.
Well, let me tell you.
Devin got called to the library. They now have 3 in the library and will do a rotating schedule so they can still go to classes. Easy right. Boring too I am sure. Every week you see the person sitting in the library as bored as bored can be. rofl.
And my calling. Yeah... I get to do our monthly ward newsletter and calendar - type it up, take it to get printed, make sure they get it back in time to pass out during fast offerings when they come around to everyone houses, AND I get to do the our weekly Sacrament program.
Um, yeah.

LOL. You crack me right up! You KNOW they gave you the newsletter so you can make it all cutesy so people will actually read it. LOL.
And then when you have to get the program printed, just go to good ol' Dev! LOL.
Your Primary kiddos will MISS you!
You can do it!! :-)
Oh, it'll be great. Always nice for a change. And I know I'm a library-geek, but I really enjoyed being in the library when I was preggers with Lily. It was relaxing and organized. I enjoyed it.
And you will do great with the program...you can spruce it up! :)
My calling is the "Ward Bulletin Specialist." All I do is make the program for sacrament meeting each Sunday. I actually enjoy it! I was the Compassionate Service leader for a long time. And I enjoyed that, but being called as the ward bulletin specialist was a welcome relief! :)
Our ward does not have a monthly newsletter or calendar...
I think you will do a great job! Hopefully you will get the information for program before Saturday each week...
That is nice that they have a rotation for the library.
