I hate spiders. I hate killing them and I hate to look at them. They make me sick to my stomach just thinking about having to kill them when they are in my house. The feel and sound that happens when you squish them, gross. Makes me even more sick.
The other day Chloe grabbed my hand and walked me into the kitchen where she started jabbering about something, and she kept saying gross. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about so I picked her up. She then pointed over to the wall in the kitchen, and there it was, a black hairy spider bigger than a quarter but smaller than a 50 cent piece walking along the walls. It was definitely gross.
After holding Chloe and observing it for a while, the spider had made it's way up the wall even more out of squishing reach. Now, of course I couldn't leave the ugly spider in my house alive, so I put Chloe down and went to get the spray bottle I use on the girls hair. I turned the nozzle to squirt and sprayed at the spider several times until he dropped. Now I expected the spider to drop and just lay on the ground wet ready for me to kill him, but he had other things on mind. As soon as he dropped, it took off. It ran so fast that I didn't even have time to pinch it to death with the napkin I had in my hand. It was so fast that I felt like I was a cat leaping on it's pray for the kill. Oh my, it was definitely gross then. Good thing though, it was finally dead.
Talking about spider...
Every night after the kids are in bed, I take out my contacts and put my glasses on... Anyway, last night after I took off my glasses to get ready for bed, I sat down to go the bathroom (I know, detail but it's my blog). Of course I can't see because I have my glasses off, but on the floor in front of me there looked like some fuzz or garbage that needed to be picked up. Now normally I would pick it up to throw it out, but for some reason last night, I didn't feel like picking it up. I got up, flushed the toilet, washed my hands, and decided I really should pick up that garbage in front of the toilet. I bent down to do so, and it was a spider. Let's just say I am glad I didn't try to pick it up like I normally would, otherwise I would have screamed, waked up the kids, and have a possible heart attack. lol. Could you image that, picking up a spider with my hands. Oh my gosh!
That's all my spider stories, for now. I HATE SPIDERS!

I agree spiders are so gross! I hate them! We have a microscope that hooks up to our computer and the kids love to put bugs under it. Well one spider had tons of creepy eyes and pointy pincher things and hairy legs and totally made me about throw up! I still get chills thinking about it. Of course the kids thought it was cool and printed out the pics and took them to school. I bet their teachers were grossed out too!
YIKES....spiders!!! I hate spiders. I remember Grandpa Carlen telling me to stop being afraid of them because you and Kim would grow up to be afraid. What a smart man! He is right, you both hate spiders.
OH MY GOODNESS!!! That is awfully gross, that's for sure!
