I've always wanted to become a better cook. I love to cook! I have fun doing it, I just hate to cleanup afterwords, which is why I came up with the, "I'll cook the food Devin if you clean up the mess". He's game with that, so I am too.
I really love to make main meals, don't get me wrong, making dessert is fun too, but putting together a family meal really makes me feel like I can accomplish being a good 'stay at home mom'.
Thanksgiving Point offers cooking classes and I've always wanted to take some, but never actually thought about going because of the baby. Now that she's older, and I know she manage without me for several hours, I'm ready to get out and learn.
I recently emailed a friend and asked if she would be interested in attending a cooking class once a month with me. She said yes! Not only do I learn something that will be useful and fun, but I get the chance to get out of the house without the kids and 'hang' with the girls.
I'm really excited.
Because of Devin's traveling situations, depends on when I can go, and what classes look good during that time. We found one though, Freezer Dinners. In this 2 hours class we'll learn how to make popular freezer-style dinners along with great tips to freeze our own recipes. In this class we'll specifically cover how to make Orange Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Pot Stickers, and Toffee Apple Crunch for dessert. Did I mention I'm really excited?
They only have room for 25 people, and so far there are 16 spots left. Come take the class with us. It costs $35.00 for this 2 hours class, and then next month it goes up to $40.00. For more information, click here.
Next month we are looking into Retro Cooking. Hope to make it to that class, as long as Devin isn't away, if so though, I might have to find a sitter, because this class sounds really exciting!
