His car came in at 4.8oz. It couldn't be over 5oz. He drew on the wood the design he wanted his car to be, then Devin cut it out. He even sanded it smooth. Then Grandpa Rick added some weights in it to get it to 4.8oz. Afterwords, Brayden painted it.
I mention all this because after looking at most of the pine wood derby cars, you could tell their Dad's did a lot more work than the kid would have. LOL. I think it's more of a parent competition than the kids.
Even though Brayden didn't win, he still had a blast, and that's what mattered most... to us.
