Mother's Day Weekend

Wow, what a weekend. Mother's Day started right after school on Friday for me. Brayden came home gave me his card and gift that they made in school. So Madison went to go look for hers but left it at school. She was so sad. I told her that's ok, there is things she can do for me instead of giving me a gift, and she can always get it on Monday and give it to me later. She was ok, but still cried for at least 20 minutes. Poor girl. Instead, she made up a piano song for me and wrote down the notes so I could keep it forever!!

Here's my gift from Brayden. A butterfly.

Friday night Brayden went to his friends and didn't come home the next day until after dinner time. They figured out they were with each other a full 24 hours. lol. I couldn't complain, I had no fighting this weekend.

Saturday the girls played tea party. I love when they play together. Chloe is always calling Madison her best friend.

Besides playing, we got a lot of yard work done. I have been wanting to get a pea gravel pile (instead of a sand pile - cats always find their way to it, yuck!) for the backyard. We finally have it dug out, now just need to fill it up, if it ever stops raining. Next weekend for sure!

We also fixed the basketball hoop. It broke over the winter. Brayden was excited, so Sunday night, we played some HORSE. At least that's 1 sport I can still play while pregnant. I don't have to run, just shoot hoops. lol.

Devin made me a fabulous Mother's Day dinner. We had yummy steak, and if you know Devin, he's a BBQ pro, rolls, green beans, a baked potato and a yummy drink (sprite and pineapple sherbet mixed.) I was stuffed, literally! We finished it off with strawberry short cake - yum.

Then later that night, after showers and baths, they made me cookies.

What a great weekend!!
