St. Louis Digital Gathering Trip

I recently went on a trip to St. Louis for a Digital Gathering. I wasn't expecting a lot from it, but just fun, and that's exactly what I got.

I actually flew into Kansas City, MI to meet a friend. She really wanted to go too. That night we ate at a really good BBQ restaurant called Jack Stacks. Yummy. I can't remember what I ate was called, but it was chunks of pork and beef pieces in their signature BBQ sauce. We hung at her house, played on our computers, were geeks, and then went to a Young Women's activity. Yep, all on my vacation. lol.

The next day we drove to St. Louis. It's just under a 4 hour drive from her home. Lots of small talk, lots of billboard signs for Window replacement, Adult Super Stores, and lots of Antique Shops along the way. ROFL. Amber is super nice, super quiet, so I had to do most of the talking myself. Not too hard for me, but still. :)

After we checked in, we headed to the Arch, the Arch Museum, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, The St. Louis Walk of Fame, the Hill where we ate some great Italian Food, and then headed back to our hotel room. Loads of fun for a Friday.

The next day, Saturday, we had our gathering. It was a lot of fun. The women there were weird. I think Amber and I were the only ones not drinking that evening, but we still had fun.
You can take a look at what we did and the people who were there here at http://stlouisdigigathering.blogspot.com/

Here are some of my trip pictures.

Standing in front of a fountain with the Memorial Expansion building in the background, and the arch behind that.

I love this picture.

This was Tina Turner's star in the St. Louis Walk of Fame. It's the 10th most popular street in the nation! There was a street musician by the star and a black guy that kept telling us we were gorgeous. It was awkward, but I had to get this picture. lol.

This is Amber and I at lunch with the rest of the group at the Digital Gathering.

Back in Kansas City across the street from their museum. I loved the big badmitten birdies. lol
