12 Weeks to Better Photography

So, I'm taking, well, participating in an online "12 Weeks to Better Photography" where we have weekly challenges, and I'm loving it. I'm learning so much and it's only week 2.

Anyway, I wanted to share 2 pictures of what I've done this week. We've learned about shutter speed settings. The higher the shutter speed settings, the more frozen a picture will become. The lower the setting, the more smooth a picture will be.

Notice how in the first picture the water is more smooth, like it would look when you are looking at it coming out of your faucet. Now in the second picture, notice how the water is frozen. You can even see the air bubbles in the water coming out, and the pieces of water as it hits the cup and bounces off. Nice huh.

Sounds like a cool class. Where did you hear about it? What is the link?
